TRF DX air conditioners guarantee safety and reliability for the system
Heathrow is London's main airport and the busiest airport in Europe, with an average of over twenty million passengers passing through it each year.
It performs a vital service not only for the UK, but over time has increasingly become the reference point for international airports.
Thanks to the relationships already established by our UK subsidiary HiRef U.K., one of the largest airlines at this airport chose HiRef to air-condition its server room, where data and telecommunications are handled.
HiRef installed four direct expansion precision air-conditioning units from the TRF DX A range. These air/air units are the perfect solution for air-conditioning data centres that cannot be disrupted in any way.
The airflow of the units has been configured with downward flow to be ducted into the subfloor, directly and precisely conditioning the electronic equipment.
To guarantee maximum safety and redundancy to the system, bi-circuit units with dual power supply were selected to prevent both electrical and mechanical malfunctions.
And the outdoor units?
In order to improve the distribution of the refrigerant gas between the indoor unit and the remote condenser, HiRef's long-distance kit was provided, which allows the correct oil return to the compressor despite the more than 60 metres of refrigerant line.
Finally, this collaboration between HiRef and the airline underlines the importance of having solid relationships and effective air-conditioning solutions even in critical contexts such as this, guaranteeing operational continuity and contributing to the safety and efficiency of the entire airport system.
