Solution
NTWD range meets every shelter need
Northern Finland is home to one of the most important gold and other precious mineral mines in Europe, operated by the Canadian multinational Agnico Eagle, which is involved not only in excavation and mining, but also in cabling the 5G connection.
Its need?
To cool two containers housing IT equipment, putting safety and low energy consumption of the facility first.
To meet these needs, HiRef, along with its distributor in Finland PCBI, selected four NTWDs: monobloc units placed outside the shelters to optimize their space, easy to install, and capable of high energy efficiency thanks to Direct Free-Cooling. This feature uses the low outdoor temperature to cool the interior of the container, significantly reducing energy consumption. NTWDs also are equipped as standard with DC inverter compressors that, via microprocessor, regulate the EC fans and airflow as cooling demand varies.
What about system safety?
The units interface with each other by taking advantage of the N+1 redundancy system, which makes it possible to extend the life cycle of the components, ensuring continuity of operation under any working condition.
Completing the system is the Building Management System (BMS), a monitoring system that adopts the most widely used communication protocols to make all unit parameters known to the operator.
The winning combination: uniqueness in versatility.
The speed in designing specific and customized solutions, combined with the versatility of the proposed units is what has made HiRef's proposal unique.
