Solution
The TPS heat pump ensures a tropical microclimate in the aquarium.
One of Italy's most famous and beloved amusement parks has entrusted HiRef to ensure a stable microclimate for its renowned tropical aquarium.
This extraordinary environment hosts a wide range of marine species that are highly sensitive to temperature fluctuations, requiring technological solutions capable of ensuring operational continuity and precise climate control.
To meet these needs, HiRef supplied the TPS unit, a reversible heat pump equipped with multiscroll technology and plate heat exchangers – suitable for both comfort and process applications.
The configuration with four compressors across two independent circuits guarantees redundant operation and allows modulation across four power levels, making it ideal for this type of application.
The unit was supplied with R454B refrigerant, a low-GWP option that reflects a commitment to sustainability in line with the customer’s environmentally conscious policies.
A Winning Choice
The strategic decision to make the unit immediately available, the result of careful analysis and commercial planning, proved crucial to the project's success. HiRef's prompt delivery of the unit, combined with start-up support provided to the customer even during the peak summer season, allowed urgent system requirements to be met, ensuring the aquarium's microclimate and the safety of its marine species.
Thanks to this solution, the park now boasts not only the excellence of its attractions but also a strong focus on animal welfare and environmental sustainability. Today, the tropical aquarium is one of the main attractions, solidifying the park's status as a premier destination for entertainment and environmental awareness.
