HWC units are designed to overcome even the most complex installation constraints
HiRef was selected to supply two indoor air-to-water chillers serving a building located in the heart of Milan.
The project is set within a highly restrictive urban context, where maximum installation flexibility was required. HiRef supported the designer from the very early stages, providing continuous technical assistance and contributing to the definition of the solution best suited to the system’s requirements.
The selected units are two HWC chillers designed to produce chilled water for building air conditioning. This range has been developed to combine the advantages of an air-cooled system with the possibility of indoor installation, made possible through the use of dedicated air ducting. For this specific project, the chillers were configured with four compressors arranged on two refrigeration circuits, ensuring maximum operational continuity.
The Low Noise solution guarantees reduced acoustic impact through the installation of dedicated compressor sound hoods, a particularly important feature for indoor installations. The total cooling capacity of the installed system is 400 kW.
What really made the difference?
A distinctive element of this project is the on-site disassembly and reassembly service, made necessary by the specific installation constraints.
The units were manufactured, tested, and subsequently disassembled at the HiRef factory, shipped as separate components, and reassembled on site, where they were tested again.
The careful management of all operations and the high level of expertise of HiRef personnel made it possible to successfully complete the project.
